Washington County Child Care Services will open a satellite office in Bridgewater under a five-year lease commissioners also approved Thursday.

Tim Kimmell, Washington County’s director of human services, said the contract with Beaver follows a directive from Gov. Tom Corbett’s administration to reduce state Department of Public Welfare expenses.

Washington and Beaver counties were linked together and then the state sought applicants interested in providing the services.
