SW Pa. man in custody after SWAT standoff
CONNELLSVILLE (AP) — Police say a man has been taken into custody on assault and other charges after a seven-hour SWAT standoff prompted by reports that he assaulted two people, including a juvenile, at a residence in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Police say 39-year-old Thomas Baker Jr., of Connellsville, surrendered shortly before 6 a.m. Monday.
Police did not immediately release other details on the incident.
