Action: The board awarded contracts for construction of the new public works building on Floral Hill Drive. Dennis Flecher Contracting will be general contractor with a bid of $1,290,879. In addition, Reno Brothers was awarded mechanical contractor work with a $130,513 bid, McRandal Company’s $127,700 bid won the plumbing contract, S.E. Shultz will act as electrical contractor at a cost of $204,651 and Interstate will provide fire protection for $50,900.

The board accepted the resignation of Lois Dale Smith from the parks and recreation council. A proposal from H&R Signs was unanimously accepted to replace a sign at Billy Bell Park at a cost of $1,429.
