McDonald man injured in rollover crash
A McDonald man suffered severe back injuries Friday morning when his pickup truck crashed on Route 980 in Cecil Township and he was ejected from the vehicle.
Cecil Township police said Jayson Darnley, 21, lost control of his truck near Swihart Road before the vehicle traveled up a hillside and rolled over shortly after 10 a.m.
Darnley was ejected through the driver’s side window and found beneath the truck, police said. Motorists driving by stopped and pushed the truck off of him.
Darnley was alert at the scene, police said. He was taken by ambulance to UPMC, Mercy hospital, where his condition was not immediately known.
Muse and Cecil firefighters and medics from SouthBridge EMS and Fort Cherry Ambulance assisted at the scene.
