O-R customer service office to extend its hours
The Observer-Reporter has streamlined its customer service department, offering a one-stop shop for subscribers and those wanting to place classified ads.
Rob Anders, director of customer service, said the department operates seven days a week, and next week will begin offering extended hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It combines customer service representatives from the circulation department and inside classified ad sales representatives from the advertising department.
The combination now makes it possible for customer service representatives to resolve subscriber issues such as a lost or undelivered paper, as well as process orders from the public for classified ads.
“They can place a classified ad and place a subscription order by talking with the same person,” Anders said.
The customer service department operates seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, beginning April 23.
The department is also open to walk-in customers from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Subscribers calling on weekends to report lost or undelivered papers can call 724-222-2201 from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
