Theft reported: About 475 feet of welding leads were stolen from two vehicles parked at the Comfort Inn on Route 21 between 2 and 3 a.m. April 12, state police said. It is believed the thief was driving a silver or gray Ford Focus, police said. The materials are owned by Larry McPeek of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Robert Daniels of Covington, Va.

Disorderly conduct charge: Richard Long of Mt. Morris and Larry Rexroad of Mannington, W.Va., face charges of disorderly conduct after they allegedly became involved in a confrontation at 3:25 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of the Waynesburg Livestock Auction, state police said.

Theft reported: A 22-inch Toro lawn mower was stolen from beneath the front porch of a house at 168 Cook Ave. between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday, state police said. The mower is owned by James Lewis of Waynesburg.

Inmate charged: Randy Allan Kimble, 25, of Brave, an inmate at the Greene County jail, was charged by state police with aggravated harassment by a prisoner for allegedly spitting in the face of Warden Harry Gillispie at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday. Kimble, who allegedly spit at Gillispie through the opening of a cell door, is in jail on a probation violation.
