JEFFERSON – The Jefferson-Morgan High School art club will hold its annual art show from 6 to 8 p.m. May 8 in the high school cafeteria. The show is open to the public, and admission is free. Donations are welcome, and refreshments will be served.

“I made many art pieces for the show and am excited for them to be displayed to the public. The show gives all J-M art students the chance to show off their skills. Mr. (Michael) Lesko really puts a lot of time and effort into us and our artwork throughout the year, and this is a good way for me to give something back to him,” said A.J. Agnew, a member of the art club.

On display will be students’ work, including oil and acrylic paintings, Raku and gloss glaze pottery, drawings done is pastel, colored pencil, markers, spray paint and photography. Most of these pieces will be for sale through a silent auction. All proceeds go to the club.

“We are very fortunate to be able to hold our show again this year. We enjoy sharing our artwork with the community, and the students really get excited to see that people appreciate their hard work,” Lesko said.

For information, call the school at 724-883-2310 or email Michael Lesko, art club sponsor, at mlesko@jmsd.org.
