Online dispute leads to local man’s arrest
A confrontation over a Facebook page led to the arrest Monday night of a Robinson Township man accused by McDonald police of assaulting a 38-year-old woman.
Dane Avery Luster, 38, of 436 Valley St., reportedly got into an argument with the alleged victim.
Luster told police he and the woman were having relationship issues. The woman had gone to a gym to work out. When she was finished, she noticed several missed calls from Luster on her cellphone, police said.
When she returned, Luster reportedly got into her vehicle and confronted her. He then allegedly sexually assaulted her.
Police said Luster then demanded the woman open her Facebook page so he could see her online activity. She refused, and when she tried to get out of the vehicle, Luster allegedly grabbed her by the hair and pulled her back. Luster then allegedly stuck his fingers in her mouth, causing her to struggle to breathe. She reportedly bit his fingers in an attempt to get away, police said.
Luster then bit her and headbutted her, giving her a large contusion, police said.
Luster was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of aggravated assault, aggravated indecent assault, reckless endangerment, simple assault, harassment, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. He was placed in the Washington County jail on $20,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for May 2 before District Judge Valarie Costanzo.
