Driver hurt: A Brownsville man suffered injuries Friday morning in a vehicle accident on Ten Mile Road in Amwell Township, state police said. Police said Nathan Evans, 22, was speeding when he lost control near Iams Hill Road shortly after 7 a.m. and crashed into a car driven by Trudy Staggers, 57, of Waynesburg. Evans, who was wearing a seat belt, was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh-area hospital. He will be cited for driving too fast for conditions, police said. Staggers was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured in the crash.

Sewer grates stolen: State police said two sewer grates were reported stolen from Malone Ridge and Rex roads Thursday.
