1 min read

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Police said 10 children and 4 adults taken to hospitals after a charter bus overturned in central Ohio did not appear to have any life-threatening injuries.

A Columbus police dispatcher said the bus apparently turned over on its side while traveling on a ramp from 1-70 eastbound to 1-270 Sunday morning. The crash on the city’s west side was reported about 7:30 a.m.

Police did not immediately release a cause for the accident. But a dispatcher said it was raining heavily at the time.

Police said initial reports indicated that about 23 adults and 15 children were on the bus.

The dispatcher said no additional details about the bus, its destination or where it originated were immediately available.
