Body found in creek may be that of missing Scout leader

1 min read

WARREN (AP) – Searchers looking for the body of a missing pastor and Boy Scout leader found a man’s corpse in a northwestern Pennsylvania creek.

Authorities aren’t saying whether the body found Sunday in Conewango Creek in Warren is that of the Rev. Dan Wolboldt.

The 69-year-old cleric was reported missing March 23. An autopsy on the body has been scheduled for Monday.

Wolboldt was scoutmaster of North Warren Boy Scout Troop 13 and pastored a chapel at Warren State Hospital as well as Emanuel United Church of Christ in Warren.

Warren County Coroner Jerry Borden says forensic dental tests will be used to positively identify the remains.

The search group found the body about 10:45 a.m.
