Waynesburg Community Center is looking for someone to teach senior citizens scrapbooking. If you are a scrapbooker and can fill this need, call Tina Raber at 724-627-6366 for more information.
Waynesburg Borough will hold cleanup days Thursday and Friday at the borough street department at 203 First St. in Waynesburg. Items will be accepted from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday. Acceptable items include appliances, couches, mattresses and scrap metal. Items that will not be taken include computers, electronics, concrete blocks, paint, tires and televisions. The borough also will pickup items at residents’ houses for a $25 fee for a half truck and $50 for a full truck. For pickup service, call the borough office at 724-627-8111.
Washington Street United Methodist Church in Waynesburg will hold a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Lunch will be available for purchase from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. both days. Take-out lunch orders will be available. To place an order or for further information, call 724-627-3240.
Oak View United Methodist Chuch, 160 Rolling Meadows Road, Waynesburg, will hold an indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Lunch items will be available for purchase.
A spaghetti dinner will be held by the Mt. Morris Lions Club from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Morris fire hall. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children.
Sign-ups for Carmichaels Mini Mikes C-Team cheerleaders will be held May 13-15. This is for young girls who will be in second grade this fall. To register, call or text 724-255-2134.
