Woman jailed: Michelle E. Mullen, 28, of Bethel Park, is charged by state police with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Mullen is accused of having one illegal tablet of Suboxone and a container with heroin residue when state police pulled her over for speeding on the Mon-Fayette Expressway about 9 p.m. May 18, 2012. She is in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond after being arrested on a warrant Monday and arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson.
Televisions stolen: Melvin Hatfield of 2103 Henderson Ave. told Chartiers police Monday that a 40-inch, flat-screen television was stolen from his mobile home and a 52-inch, flat-screen TV was stolen form his shed. Also stolen was a torch set.
Mischief, disorderly charges: David Campbell, 24, of 347 E. Pike St., Canonsburg, will be charged by Chartiers police with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after allegedly putting a hole in a wall at Black & Gold, Pike Street, Saturday. Police said he was intoxicated and causing a disturbance.
Items stolen: Carrie Heatley of 741 Western Ave. told Chartiers police April 23 that 100 DVDs, two Wii game consoles, two DVD players, Wii games, PlayStation 2 games and Xbox games were stolen from her home.
Equipment taken: Two self-propelled lawn mowers and two weed trimmers were reported stolen April 23 from Washington County Horseshoe Association at the Washington County Fairgrounds and Exposition Center.
DUI on dirt bike: Arnold Dean Bowling Jr., 44, of Moundsville, W.Va., was charged last week by a Pennsylvania Game Commission officer with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving a dirt bike on a road and several traffic violations in connection with an April 9 incident on Majorsville Road, Donegal. The game commission officers saw Bowling riding the bike on the road. When he was asked if he knew it was illegal, he told the officers he thought he was in Wst Virginia. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
Man charged twice: Christian Truskowski of Coraopolis was charged twice in 10 minutes Thursday by state police at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino. At 9:12 a.m., he was charged with disorderly conduct for using obscene language. Ten minutes later, he was charged with criminal trespass for entering the gaming floor without authorization.
Counterfeit bill passed: A counterfeit $20 bill was passed Saturday at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino, state police said.
Quick-change theft: A clerk at Marathon, 461 Racetrack Road, told North Strabane police Monday that she was conned out of $40 by a quick-change artist described as a white man, in his 40s, wearing tan pants. He drove an older model Oldsmobile Delta 88.
Drug charges: A Finleyville man will be charged by summons following a traffic stop at 1:32 a.m. Tuesday at Turkeyfoot Road and Iron Horse Drive, township police said. Dylan C. Janda, 20, of 3500 Lincoln Ave., will be charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Bicycle stolen: A township resident told police he left his bicycle on Arrowhead Trail and walked a portion of the trail and, when he returned, the bicycle was missing. The theft of the bicycle, valued at $100, was reported at 7:36 p.m. Monday. The bicycle is a dark, 10-speed Schwinn.
Storage units entered: Four storage units at U Store It, 510 Venetia Road, had locks cut and were entered before 6:47 p.m. Monday, township police said. Different locks were placed on the units. One of the renters told police two homemade copper hangers and a chandelier were stolen. The other renters are doing an inventory to determine if anything is missing, police said. Also stolen from the rear of the building were steel pipes.
Card scam: A resident of the township told police he received a telephone call supposedly from Capital One saying he was approved for a credit card without interest, township police said. The man paid $1,140 to open the card, but when he called Capital One, he was told the company has no such offer. The theft was reported to police at 11:54 a.m. Monday.
Apartment burglary: Carmella Santapietto of 1090 Jefferson Ave., Apt. 7, told city police 12 collector dolls, Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3 gaming consoles, clothes, shoes, a fireplace, miniature refrigerator, microwave, blender, slow cooker, butcher block with set of knives, pictures and lamps were stolen from her apartment last month while she was staying in Pittsburgh.
