Ohio man accused of shooting women gets $1.5M bond

1 min read

TIFFIN, Ohio (AP) – An Ohio judge has set a $1.5 million bond for a man that authorities say fatally shot a woman and injured her daughter in a parked car.

The 37-year-old Calvin B. Dixson of Perrysburg appeared in court Thursday facing charges of aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder.

Police last week found the women with gunshot wounds in a car parked in Fostoria, southeast of Toledo.

Dixson’s attorney did not immediately return a request for comment.

Witnesses have said Dixson walked up to women’s car and fired several shots before fleeing. Authorities have said Dixson was captured in Cleveland hours after the shooting.

Police have said Dixson was an ex-boyfriend of one of the women, who had a restraining order against him.
