Pleaders for June 29

Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Appearing before Judge Katherine Emery were:

Allen Basel, 24, 900 Anne Ave., Charleroi; possession of a controlled substance and two counts of animal cruelty; charged March 28; sentence – 12 months of probation, $400 fine.

Chester W. Corwin Jr., 66, of 452 North Kings Creek Road, Burgettstown; theft, failure to deliver title; sentence – $775 fine.

Michael Carlson, 27, of 2240 School St., Mt. Pleasant; theft, deceptive business practice and theft by deception; sentence – 2 ½ to 7 years in prison, $12,300 in restitution.

Leah N. Grillo, 20, of 310 Lower Sandbank Road, Belle Vernon; conspiracy to commit theft; sentence – 3 years of probation.

Anthony Forsythe, 41, of 595 E. Maiden St., Washington; harassment; sentence – $100 fine.

Jerry T. Kohn, 53, of 1030 Locust Ave., Washington; driving under suspension; sentence – $1,000 fine.

Appearing before Judge John DiSalle were:

Kevin B. Woodhouse Jr., 29, of 163 E. Hillsboro Road, Washington; marijuana possession, driving under suspension; charged April 13; sentence – 30 days of probation, $225 fine.

Hakeem Warren, 20, of 30 Highland Ave., Washington; aggravated assault, two counts reckless endangerment; charged July 19, 2012: sentence – 2 to 6 years in prison, restitution to victim.

Several people were admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for first offenders. If they successfully complete the program, they can petition the court to have their record expunged. Admitted were:

Xavier D. Warren, 22, of 30 Highland Ave., Washington; was admitted for 12 months for theft; fined $500.

Emily A. Stanton, 23, of 5112 Oak Road, Jefferson Hills; was admitted for 12 months for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Brandon D. Ogg, 29, of 114 Mt. Blaine Drive, McMurray; was admitted for 12 months for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Jeanne D. Knight, 49, of 855 Fourth St., Verona; was admitted for 6 months for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

William S. Sabilia, 38, of 223 E. Edgewood Drive, McMurray; was admitted for 12 months for driving under the influence of alcohol.
