Police: Woman changed market’s price stickers
NEW BRIGHTON (AP) – Police say a Western Pennsylvania woman was caught black-handed stealing from a supermarket.
The Beaver County Times reports 55-year-old Kimberly Ann Bryan’s hands had black marks on them from the felt pen she allegedly used to write lower prices on stickers she was putting on items at the New Brighton Foodland.
Police estimate Bryan marked down the items in her cart by nearly $69. They say she was caught while checking out at the store on July 25. She faces a preliminary hearing Aug. 29.
Online court records don’t list an attorney for Bryan, who allegedly asked police to have some sympathy for her and claimed she’s on medication and sometimes blacks out and doesn’t realize what she’s doing.
