Man held on charges he videoed changing teens

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man was in custody awaiting arraignment on charges that he used a small “spy camera” to record two girls who were changing into bathing suits in a Pittsburgh hotel room.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for 58-year-old Louis Wilt, of New Florence, who was being charged with invasion of privacy and sexual abuse of children for the incident early Thursday at the Sheraton Station Square.

Police say the girl’s noticed a blinking red light with a tiny camera lens in the bathroom where they were changing, and the mother of one of the girls alerted hotel security.

Police later learned from Wilt’s wife that he had ordered such a device using her online Amazon shopping account earlier this week.

Wilt is known to the girls and had access to their room.
