1 min read

A woman drove through the garage at her North Franklin Township home Thursday night and struck her neighbor’s house after her foot was reportedly stung by a bee and became stuck on the accelerator, North Franklin firefighters said.

The woman was entering her garage at 518 Sylvan Drive shortly before 9 p.m. when the accident occurred.

Firefighters said she was not seriously injured and she declined treatment at the scene.

Damage to the neighboring house was minimal, however there was severe damage to the driver’s garage. North Franklin police were on scene investigating and did not immediately release the woman’s name. No other injuries were reported.
