The inbound Liberty Tunnels in Pittsburgh will be closed to all traffic starting Wednesday through Aug. 30.

The inbound closure will begin at 10 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed until 6 a.m. Friday as crews replace the concrete arch at the exit end of the tunnel. The concrete arch wall at the ventilation shaft in the middle of the tunnel will be replaced.

The outbound tunnel will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. during the full inbound closure.

A detour will be posted. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes.
