Police beat Aug. 19

Criminal trespass reported: William D. Miller of Blacksburg Va., told state police numerous rooms were ransacked in his property on Dunn Station Road between Aug. 10 and 14.

Drugs, firearm charges: Elliott Lane Law, 24, of Morgantown, W. Va., was arraigned on possession of a controlled substance, paraphernalia, intent to deliver and firearms charges after state police stopped his vehicle while it was traveling northbound near Exit 43 of Interstate 79 Saturday night. According to the police report, police found a Glock .40-caliber pistol, a plastic bag containing cocaine and an electronic scale in a black Gucci bag in the rear passenger seat of the vehicle, which was owned by Law. Law was arraigned by District Judge Mark Wilson and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
