Emergency crews respond to Pa. plant explosion
GREENVILLE (AP) – Police and firefighters responded amid unconfirmed reports of injuries after an explosion at a Western Pennsylvania industrial park holding fuel tanks.
The explosion happened about 5:45 p.m. Monday at the Reynolds Industrial Park in Mercer County, about 80 miles northeast of Pittsburgh and near the Ohio line.
Emergency crews are investigating the cause of the explosion.
A dispatcher at the county 911 center said the site contained bulk diesel or propane refueling tanks. Other details aren’t available.
