Faces charges: State police reported Gage Paul Griffin, 19, of 324 Moffit Road, Dilliner, faces charges of theft, receiving stolen property, public intoxication and underage drinking stemming from an incident at 4:27 a.m. Sunday at Sheetz, Route 188 and Bill George Drive, Waynesburg. Griffin was found passed out in the passenger seat of his car in the Sheetz parking lot and police found a state Department of Transportation handicapped yellow street sign (picture of a wheel chair) he allegedly stole from the Davistown/Mt. Morris area. Police said Griffin was drunk and on probation and a detainer was issued.Griffin was taken to Greene County jail.

Car stolen: A gold, 2002 Pontiac Grand Am was stolen from 240 S. Cumberland St. between 12:01 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday, Waynesburg police said. The car, which has a Pennsylvania license plate barring the number HWW-5555, is owned by Gretchen Patterson of North Carolina, police said.
