CHARLEROI – Charleroi Area Historical Society has relocated from a cramped office in John K. Tener Library in the borough to the basement of a local church.

The society’s archives and genealogy and history research center are now housed in Presbyterian Church of Charleroi at Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue. The church is providing the space at no cost, said Nikki Sheppick, society chairman.
