PITTSBURGH (AP) – A Pittsburgh area teen has been sentenced to 60 years to life in prison for the slaying of a teenage girl who police said was shot in the head and left inside her burning home.

Eighteen-year-old Akeem Page-Jones was sentenced Monday for the March, 2011 death of 17-year-old Teesa Williams. He was found guilty of first-degree murder, arson and related charges in May.

Page-Jones denied his involvement in the crime and did not speak to Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Jill E. Rangos at his sentencing.
