DA wants to shut pizza shop near Pitt
PITTSBURGH (AP) – The district attorney wants to shut down a pizza parlor near the University of Pittsburgh campus as a nuisance establishment after its owner was jailed on dozens of drug-related charges.
Online court records don’t list an attorney for 35-year-old Fadi Aboud, who was in the Allegheny County jail unable to post $200,000 bond Wednesday.
Aboud was arrested Tuesday and charged after investigators said they found more than a pound of cocaine, two pounds of marijuana, and several dozen painkiller pills at Aboud’s home and his Larry & Carol’s Pizza Shop.
A spokesman for Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala Jr. said the arrest stemmed from a six-month investigation by the office’s Narcotics Enforcement Team, state police and police in several suburbs east of the city.
