Candy stolen: Candy was stolen from a box truck parked in the driveway at 129 Shelby Lane between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday, state police said. The property is owned by Rebecca Schartiger of Dilliner.

Stolen vehicle: Southwest Regional Police are investigating the theft of a rental car from 787 Big Shannon Run Road, Mt. Morris. Michael Lee Martin, 26, told police that a 2014 Silver Chevrolet Tahoe with Pennsylvania registration, JHN-3000, was stolen from the residence between noon and 3 p.m. Aug. 24. Hit-and-run: Wesley Brown of Birch River, W.Va., reported damage to his Ford F250 pickup truck. The truck was parked along High Street across from the courthouse Tuesday when someone struck his driver’s side mirror. The incident occurred between 11:30 a.m. and noon.
