Country music will be featured from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the New Freeport fire hall. Bands scheduled to appear are Last Resorts and Brad Crow and the Cutups. Cost is $4. Ladies Auxilary is sponsoring the event.
The Central Greene 4-H Sew-n-Sew Club will reorganize Sept. 10. New members are welcome. The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. in the lower level of the 4-H building at the Greene County Fairgrounds. For more information, call Robin Throckmorton at 724-627-9012.
A 9-11 Remembrance and First Responder Recognition will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 11 at Rogersville United Methodist Church. County emergency personnel are invited and should call 724-499-5590 if they plan to attend, or for more information. The public is invited to show its support for the emergency personnel in their area.
Oak View United Methodist Church will feature performances by Mr. and Mrs. James Bickford at its 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service. Mrs. Bickford is a soloist and performs with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra. James Bickford is a chancel dramatist and will give a presentation on “Jonah.” The service will be officiated by the Rev. David Stains.
The auxiliary board of Southwest Regional Medical Center will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Guesman Room at the hospital.
