Xi Lambda Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will hold its Christmas dinner at 6 p.m. today at the home of Linda Ankney Moore. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and a gift exchange.
Community Sewing Circle of Time will meet Friday for an all-day meeting in the social room of the Union Valley United Methodist Church. Brenda Tennant will be hostess and program leader. Word for roll call is “holy.” Please bring secret sister presents.
A square dance, also line dancing, polkas, cake walk and more, will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at Rogersville Fire Hall. Caller will be Dave Dahl. Cost is $5 per person or $8 per couple. A Heaven Bound Christmas will be presented at 6 p.m. Sunday at the First Assembly of God Church, 4131 West Roy Furman Highway, Waynesburg. The hour-long concert will feature a variety of traditional Christmas music along with a number of special musical selections performed by the 40 vocalists of Heaven Bound Ministries. A Love Offering will be received to benefit “He’s Alive! 2014,” the Easter musical produced and presented at the Capitol Theater in Wheeling, W.Va., April 4, 5, and 6 by Heaven Bound Ministries.
