Police say fire at Pa. mall was intentionally set
LEHIGHTON (AP) – Police in northeastern Pennsylvania are trying to track down the person responsible for starting a fire inside a mall during the busiest time of the year.
WNEP-TV said Monday, some stores at the Carbon Plaza Mall near Lehighton were open and drying out and others remained closed.
Over the weekend police say someone intentionally started a fire inside of a nail salon and the blaze spread to multiple businesses.
The salon owner believes someone came through the back entrance, starting not one but two fires inside. She hopes to re-open the salon in a few weeks.
Anyone with information on this investigation is asked to call Mahoning Township Police.
