1 min read

DICKERSON RUN (AP) – Authorities in Western Pennsylvania say a man died after he caught on fire while filling a cigarette lighter.

The Fayette County coroner’s office says the Leisenring resident was connected to an oxygen apparatus at the time of the 11:30 a.m. Thursday accident in Dunbar Township.

Corner Phillip Reilly said a flash burn injured the man’s face and upper body, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The (Uniontown) Herald-Standard says the name of the victim, who was in his early 60s, has not been released.

Reilly said the man’s health will be among possible contributing factors in his office’s investigation of an official cause of death.
