Wanted on warrant: Timothy Rossell, 25, of 721 Main St., Bentleyville, is wanted on a warrant by Southwest Regional police on charges of forgery, identity theft, deceptive business practices, impersonating a public servant and other charges. He is accused of identifying himself as John Tobisti to a Glassport man who was selling a Ford Crown Victoria on Craigslist. He also told the seller he was a state constable and needed the car for work. Rossell reportedly signed a contract but never made a payment for the car. His true identity was later determined. Charges were filed at the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson.
Chain saws, lights stolen: Homer Thomas of Canonsburg told Canonsburg police Wednesday that a chain saw and two halogen lights were stolen from his business at 111 Orchard St.
Charged in crash: David Allen Beaver Jr., 22, of Middlebourne, W.Va., was charged Monday by state police with accident involving injury and careless driving stemming from a Dec. 28 crash on Interstate 79 near the Southpointe exit, Cecil, in which three passengers were injured. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.
Drug, paraphernalia charges: Joshua A. Hilker, 21, of 302 Rosewood Drive, McDonald, was charged by Cecil police Thursday with possession of suboxone and drug paraphernalia stemming from a Nov. 11 incident on Corporate Drive. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.
Charges filed: Nicholas T. Harrison, 18, of 1027 Forest Lane, Canonsburg, was charged Thursday by Cecil police with possession of paraphernalia and driving under the influence of marijuana stemming from a Jan. 7 traffic stop on Muse-Bishop and Miller roads. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.
Cable scam: Karl Jackson Jr., 39, of 666 Thompson Ave., Donora, is charged by borough police with illegal sale of an electronic communication device and making false reports to police, court records show. He is accused of telling police Jan. 24 six cable/Internet boxes were stolen from his residence before the investigation showed one of them had allegedly been rented from Jackson for $60 a month, the affidavit indicates. Jackson is free on $5,000 bond following his arraignment Wednesday before District Judge Mark Wilson.
Woman injured: Malori J. Hoak, 25, of Coal Center, was injured Wednesday morning when her vehicle slid on a patch of ice, struck an embankment and rolled over on Mount Tabor Road, Long Branch, California police said. She was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment. Roscoe firefighters assisted.
Two charged: James S. Hammond, 33, of 271 S. Buffalo Church Road, Buffalo Township, and Alexandria George, 27, of 4210 Henderson Ave., Mt. Pleasant, were each charged Tuesday by Mt. Pleasant police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. The two are accused of hitting each other during a confrontation at George’s home Feb. 1. Hammond also was charged with driving with a suspended license. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.
Woman arraigned: Iesha Ena Hackett, 35, of 344 Locust Ave., Washington, was arraigned Thursday on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver cocaine after she allegedly sold the drug to a confidential informant Nov. 4, 2011, in a Mt. Pleasant parking lot. State police filed the charges. Hackett, who is in Washington County Jail on unrelated charges, was arraigned before District Judge Valarie Costanzo, who set bond at $10,000.
Marijuana charge: Jesse Stoner, 20, of 695 Penn Ave., Washington, was arraigned Thursday on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia stemming from a Dec. 28 incident on Latimer Avenue, Strabane, North Strabane police said. He was arraigned by video before District Judge Jay Weller, who set bond at $1,000. Stoner is currently in Washington County Jail on $1,000 bond.
Retail theft charge: Jesse R. Jankowski, 23, of 66 Laurel Ave., Washington, was charged Thursday with retail theft for allegedly stealing four vehicle lighting devices from Walmart, Trinity Point, on Dec. 9, South Strabane police said. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Two charged: Joshua A. Anderson, 38, of 413 N. Jefferson Ave., Canonsburg, and Ashley N. Keen 23, of 396 Lively Road, Eighty Four, were charged by South Strabane police with possession of drug paraphernalia after Keen allegedly overdosed while driving on Murtland Avenue Jan. 15. She also was charged with driving under the influence of drugs. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Generator stolen: Lacy N. Wilson, 21, of Union, Ohio, was charged this week by South Strabane police with retail theft for allegedly stealing batteries and a generator from Walmart, Trinity Point, on Jan. 30. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Welder stolen: Kelly Lee McClelland, 29, of 117 Liberty St., McDonald, was charged this week with retail theft by South Strabane police for allegedly stealing an arc welder from Walmart, Trinity Point, on Feb. 1. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Burglary arrest: Robert Reed Cox, 25, of 37 Buffalo Ridge Road, Buffalo Township, was arrested late Wednesday by Washington police after he allegedly tried to burglarize the Beer Stop, 1006 W. Chestnut St. Police said officers saw Cox trying to break a window at the store with a large stick, and when he saw police, he tried to run but was caught in the parking lot. Cox was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on a charge of burglary.
Twitter charges: Shaelynn Marie Saunoras, 19, of 430 Blue Jay Drive, Canonsburg, was charged Thursday with terroristic threats and harassment for allegedly threatening a North Franklin Township woman’s son on Twitter earlier this week, court records show. Charges will be send by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Assault alleged: Darnell Hudson, 50, of 1090 Jefferson Avenue, Apt. 3, Washington, was jailed Wednesday on charges of simple assault and harassment for allegedly shoving a woman to the ground and kicking a child in the chest March 2 at a North Main Street apartment in Washington. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and remanded to the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
