Roscoe man gets prison
A Roscoe man accused of stealing firearms during a burglary recently pleaded guilty and received prison time.
Joshua Kefover, 27, of 200 Mankin St., pleaded guilty Feb. 5 to charges of burglary, theft and persons not to possess firearms before Judge Katherine Emery and was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months to 5 years in prison, followed by 3 years of probation, court records show. He also was ordered to pay $8,111 in restitution.
According to the affidavit filed by RESA Regional police, Kefover broke into 206 Duncan St., Roscoe, on July 31 and stole five guns, a television, a laptop and a lockbox with a fake pistol inside. Police said he admitted the burglary after officers noticed a television matching the description of the stolen one while questioning him at a neighboring residence. Kefover also reportedly told police he sold the guns to a Charleroi man.
