WAYNESBURG – After this cold winter, everyone should enjoy a “Swing into Spring.”

With that in mind, the RECREO committee of the Greene County Association of School Retirees has arranged for an exciting day trip to Ohio Amish country May 14.

Stressing that the trip is open to anyone who would like to go, not just school retirees, the committee announced each traveler will receive a flower pot to fill as you visit the stops on the trip.

At Garden Thyme, receive a potted plant and learn the secrets of successfully growing plants, produce and herbs. In Berlin, Ohio, at the Bountiful Table, enjoy a scrumptious buffet and a live musical review. Before starting home, a stop at the Hershberger Farm and Bakery will provide the opportunity to buy any number of homemade baked goods, jellies, noodles and candies.

Finally, stopping at the Dutch Valley Complex, folks will have the chance to tip-toe through their colorful tulips and stock up on Amish meats, cheeses and more.

Everyone interested is invited to accompany us on the exciting day trip. The cost is $108. Reservations are due before March 20. To make reservations or for more information, call Patty Jones at 724-499-5254.
