Two charged: Kathy Dates, 50, of 407 Duquesne Ave., Apt. C, and her sister, Stacie Walls, 47, of Apt. D of the same address, were charged with harassment following an altercation Thursday night over medication. When police arrived, Walls had a bruise under her left eye.

Harassment charges: Justin D. Brezinski, 25, and Alisha M. Till, 27, both of Washington, were charged with harassment following an altercation at 930 Ewing St. Thursday morning. State police in Washington said Brezinski came home intoxicated and a fight ensued. Charges were filed with District Judge David Mark.

Man charged: Bryan W. Salyer, 35, of 201 Cummins Ave., Houston, was charged with simple assault and harassment following an incident at 1:58 a.m. Friday in a residence at 425 N. Main St., Houston, according to an affidavit filed in the office of District Judge James Ellis. Salyer became angry with Melissa Ann Behana, 30, in the residence, punched her in the face and attempted to strangle her, Chartiers Township police said. He also broke a telephone and later held a kitchen knife to his stomach and attempted to force her to press against his stomach, police said. He was arraigned before Ellis at 4 a.m. Friday and was placed in the Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.

Cameras stolen: Raymond L. Everett, 59, of Avella, reported to state police trail cameras were removed from his property on Fallen Timber Road between Dec. 13 and Dec. 14.

Man charged: Derrek Wible, 22, of Coal Center, was charged Thursday by California police with theft and receiving stolen property. Police said he allegedly stole a necklace from his girlfriend in October and pawned it in a shop in Belle Vernon.

Charged with assault: Arthur P. Benoit III was charged with simple assault and harassment following a domestic dispute in his residence at 905 Fourth St., according to an affidavit filed in the office of District Judge James Ellis. Benoit was in an argument with his girlfriend, Kathy J. Harrison, at 2:58 a.m. Friday, when police said he knocked her to the floor and struck her on her back with his arm. He also pushed her daughter to the floor and hit her with a coffee mug, police said. Benoit was arraigned before Ellis at 4 a.m. and was placed in the Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.

Four injured in crashes: Four people were transported to area hospitals following two multiple-vehicle accidents at Route 19 and Trinity Point Drive Thursday. Police were called at 4:17 p.m. when three vehicles collided. Four people were involved in the crash, and three of them were transported to different hospitals for medical treatment. At 8:30 p.m., at the same intersection, a vehicle collided with a South Strabane Township fire rescue truck which was responding to a medical call. Again, four people were involved, and one was taken to Washington Hospital. Police were still interviewing witnesses Friday and had not completed their reports.

Harassment charge: Police said charges of harassment are pending against Jeff Casper, 50, of 108 N. Main St., Apt. 2, for allegedly sending threatening text messages to Sherry Stevenson of Washington and threatening bodily harm to James Ferrau of Pittsburgh Thursday.
