Westmoreland County jury convicts man in death of infant daughter

1 min read

INDIANA – A Western Pennsylvania man has been convicted of third-degree murder in the death of his 20-day-old daughter.

The Westmoreland County jury deliberated for about five hours Friday before convicting 26-year-old Clayton Mibroda of Bolivar.

A coroner ruled the Dec. 27, 2011 death of Natalee Mibroda a homicide and said she died from head and chest injuries.

Mibroda took the stand earlier this week in his own defense, blaming Natalee’s mother for her death.

A third-degree murder conviction carries a sentence guideline of 20 to 40 years in prison. Mibroda’s sentencing will be held in about 90 days.
