Lions Clubs announces 3 outstanding students
ROGERSVILLE – West Greene Lions Club has named three girls as outstanding students of the month.
Selected were seniors Jessica Black, Michaela Marie Hildreth and Hallie Kreuzer.
Black, daughter of Bill and Melissa Black of Holbrook, is vice president of the National Honor Society, vice president of the senior class, a member of Student Senate, FFA, science club, Envirothon, Spanish club, senior planning committee, grapplerette and The Barnyard.
She is also a three-year letterman in track, a two-year letterman in volleyball and runs cross country.
Black is the 2012-13 homecoming queen and was a past homecoming and prom court attendant. She is a member of the U.S. Achievement Academy, National Society of High School Scholars and she received the American Citizenship Award.
Outside of school, she is a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church and volunteers at Crystal Children’s Center.
Black plans to attend Waynesburg University and major in nursing.
Hildreth, daughter of William and Sharon Hildreth of Nineveh, is a member of the Spanish club, treasurer of the National Honor Society, secretary of the FFA, a member of the rifle team, serving as captain the last two years. She is a member of Who’s Who Among American High School Students and received the Centennial Chevrolet Female Scholar/Athlete Award for the 2012-13 winter sports season.
Outside of school, she volunteers at benefit dinners, election day dinners, blood drives and at the Morris Township Volunteer Department’s chicken booth.
Hildreth plans to attend Waynesburg University and study nursing.
Kreuzer, daughter of Chuck and Lisa Kreuzer of Sycamore, is a member of the National Honor Society, secretary of the senior class, a member of the senior planning committee and National Society of High School Scholars and is a four-year letterman in soccer, serving as captain this year.
She has received the American Citizenship Award and was a Wendy’s High School Heisman winner.
Outside of school, she dances at Moschetta’s Performing Arts Studio, is an instructional assistant for the CCD program at St. Ann Church and volunteers for Relay for Life, Salvation Army and Bowlby Library.
Kreuzer plans to attend West Virginia University and major in physical therapy.
