Court cases
WAYNESBURG – Several criminal defendants pleaded guilty to charges Wednesday before Greene County Judge Farley Toothman. They were:
Brian Scott Blosser, 21, of 100 Mark Drive, Smithfield; offenses – burglary, theft; on Nov. 9, 2011, Blosser entered a home on Drift Ridge Road in Wayne Township and stole jewelry; sentence – 6 to 23 1/2 months in jail; 250 hours of community service, $4,033 in restitution.
Jacob Allen Fonner, 31, of 195 School St., Waynesburg; offenses – driving under the influence of a controlled substance, three summary traffic violations; Fonner was arrested Aug. 2 after being found unresponsive behind the wheel of his vehicle at a stop light on Route 19; blood test indicated he was under the influence of Alprazolam; sentence – 72 hours to 6 months in jail, $1,035 in fines, 75 hours of community service.
Scott Mahlon Rimmel, 40, of 278 Holbert Stretch Road, Dilliner; offenses – two counts of possession of a controlled substance, charges of possession with intent to deliver were dismissed; on Feb. 11, 2011, and April 28, 2011, Rimmel sold cocaine at his home to a confidential informant working with police; sentence – 2 years of probation, $300 fine, 50 hours of community service.
James Turner Lewers Bagley, 25, of 45 Cumberland Village, Carmichaels; offenses – theft, receiving stolen property; on June 23, Bagley used his mother’s debit card to obtain $142 from an ATM; sentence – 3 to 23 1/2 months in Jail, $300 fine, 75 hours of community service, restitution.
Andrew W. Baker, 37, of 362 E. Franklin St., Waynesburg; offenses – receiving stolen property, conspiracy, a charge of recklessly endangering another person was withdrawn; on June 12, he and James Hodgson were arrested for stealing copper wire from a utility pole in Waynesburg; sentence – 1 year of probation, $193 fine, 25 hours of community service, restitution.
James Hodgson, 20, of Waynesburg; offenses – theft, conspiracy, a charge of recklessly endangering another person was withdrawn; on June 12, he and Andrew W. Baker were arrested for stealing copper wire from a utility pole in Waynesburg; sentence – 1 year of probation, $300 fine, 50 hours of community service, restitution.
Margaret Peggy Maimone, 74, of 378 Meadow Run Trail, Deer Lake, Chalk Hill; offenses – driving under the influence of alcohol, second offense; damage to property; on Feb. 27, Maimone was involved in a one-vehicle crash, hitting a garbage container and driving through grass at Junction Deli on Route 21; her blood-alcohol content was 0.139 percent; sentence – 30 days to 6 months in jail $1,250 in fines and 25 hours of community service.
