Charged with shooting gun: Bruce A. Bodrie, 23, of Beaver, was charged Tuesday by California police with reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and violating the borough’s disorderly house ordinance for allegedly discharging a gun behind a fraternity house. Police were called Jan. 17 to the Acacia fraternity house after getting a report of shots being fired in the 600 block of Park Street. Police went to the house and learned that Bodrie allegedly fired eight shots into the slightly wooded area behind the fraternity house. A Ruger pistol was seized. A preliminary hearing will be held Feb. 25 before District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

Woman arraigned: Heather Lynn George, 28, of 102 E. Hallam Ave., Washington, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge David Mark on charges of theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She and another woman are accused of taking a vehicle owned by Michael Hilderbrand without his permission from outside Cozy Corner, Euclid Avenue, Canton. She was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.

CHARTIERS

Vehicle hits pole: Mandy Leadingham, 17, of 105 Highpointe Drive, Canonsburg, and her passenger, Carmen Dalesandro, 17, of 52 Pleasant Road, McDonald, escaped injury when Leadingham’s vehicle slid on gravel on Western Avenue and hit a utility pole, shearing it off, about 9 a.m. Wednesday, Chartiers police said. The road near Western Area Career and Technology Center was closed for about an hour.

CROSS CREEK

Charged in crash: Jonathan Eugene Martin, 20, of Avella, was charged Wednesday in connection with a Jan. 1 hit-and-run crash at Browntown and Campbell roads, Cross Creek. State police said Martin was driving south on Campbell when he failed to stop at a stop sign and skidded across Browntown, hitting a utility pole. A passenger, Donald Martin, 22, of Avella, fled on foot and was found at 108 Donahoe St. He was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Jonathan Martin fled in his vehicle and was found at 1847 Avella Road. Charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to notify police of a crash, underage drinking and several traffic violations were filed at the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

NORTH FRANKLIN

Vehicle rolls: James Roach, 22, of 440 N. Richhill St., Waynesburg, suffered some cuts when his southbound vehicle slid on Scenic Drive near Trinity Middle School, hit an embankment and rolled over Tuesday morning, North Franklin police said.

NORTH STRABANE

Operator cited: The operator of one of the bars at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino, 210 Racetrack Road, North Strabane, was cited by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly selling alcohol during prohibited hours Nov. 12.

Earrings stolen: Diamond earrings, valued at $2,000 to $3,000, were reported missing from a dish on a dresser in a bedroom in the 100 block of Jonathan Drive at 5:29 p.m. Tuesday, township police said.
