1 min read

• Date: Jan. 24

• Discussion: At the annual meeting of the board, it was noted that the county’s indebtedness through bond issues is $51,360,441. Debt service payments in 2012 will be $3.5 million, and the most recent Standard & Poor’s rating of the county for borrowing purposes is A+.

County taxpayers are still paying for construction of the jail, renovations that converted the old jail to a family court center, airport development and land purchases at the Starpointe Industrial Park.

The commissioners, Treasurer Francis King and Controller Michael Namie are members of the sinking fund board.
