Theft reported: State police are investigating a reported theft of cash from a vending machine at South Market Street between 3 p.m. Jan. 19 and 9 a.m. Jan. 20.
Hit and run: A mailbox belonging to Donald Kelly of Mt. Morris was damaged in a hit-and-run crash at 9:30 p. m. Jan. 14, state police said. The car involved in the incident was a 1994 purple Ford Crown Victoria reportedly stolen fom Vance Auto Sales. The vehicle was found abandoned along School Bus Road.
Items stolen: Two stainless steel air cleaners with lights were stolen from a red Peterbilt truck parked along Jefferson Road between 3 p.m. Jan. 17 and 7 a.m. Jan. 18, state police said.
Fuel tank stolen: State police said a 500-gallon fuel tank and miscellaneous tools were stolen from a gas well site along Ridge Road between Jan. 14 and 18. The items belonged to West Penn Energy Services.
House burglarized: State police said someone broke into a residence on Hidden Valley Road between 2 p.m. Jan. 5 and 4 a.m. Jan. 4 and stole $100 in coins.
Vehicle entered: Matthew Payton, 19, of Shinnston, W.Va., told state police someone broke the passenger’s window of his vehicle while it was parked along Wheeling Creek Road between 1:30 p.m. Friday and 12:45 a.m. Saturday and stole an iPod, mine light, wallet and the vehicle’s registration and insurance cards.
Car stolen: State police said a 2011 Scion XB was stolen Jan. 20 while it was left running outside the BFS Convenience Store in Mt. Morris. Police said the vehicle belonged to Michael’s Auto Sales, Carmichaels.
