Theft: A Stihl utility saw and a Wacker “Jumping Jack” tamper were stolen from a construction site on Route 3013 between Jan. 25 and Tuesday, state police said. A lock was cut on a chain wrapped around the two pieces of equipment, which are owned by L&B Partnership LLC of East Stroudsburg.
Crash: A Sycamore woman was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday on Route 21, west of Waynesburg, state police said. Susan Amos, 41, was taken by helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was in critical condition Thursday, a hospital spokeswoman said. Police said Amos was traveling west when her 1997 Chevrolet Suburban ran off the road and struck a mailbox and a pine tree. The vehicle rolled onto its side and Amos, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected out the driver’s side window.
Burglary: About $100 was stolen in a burglary at the Cherry Door Thrift Store at 244 Elm Drive between Friday and Monday, state police said. Anyone with information on the burglary is asked to contact state police at 724-627-6151.
No injuries in crash: No injuries were reported in a single-vehicle crash at 3:35 a.m. Monday on Interstate 79. State police said Kyle L. Kelley, 21, of Salem, W.Va., fell asleep at the wheel. His vehicle struck a grass embankment.
Theft: A vending machine was entered and cash inside was stolen at the Kirby Welcome Center on Interstate 79 between 12:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. Saturday, state police said.
