Anglers can fish without license Thursday

1 min read

HARRISBURG (AP) – Anglers will be able to fish for free in Pennsylvania on the Fourth of July.

Thursday is one of two “Fish-for-Free” days designated by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. The other was on Memorial Day. Under the program, any resident or non-resident can legally fish in state waterways without a fishing license. All other fishing rules and regulations still apply.

The state says the program is meant to be a good way for families to get involved in fishing.
