Traffic restrictions in place for Pittsburgh fireworks

1 min read

Motorists traveling to Pittsburgh to view the Fourth of July fireworks are advised by state police that there is no stopping or parking on bridges, ramps or interstates. All violators will be cited and any vehicles left unattended will be immediately towed at the owners’ expense along with being cited. Motorists should also be aware that inbound Ft. Pitt Tunnel traffic will be detoured to the West End Circle or Route 51, due to the tunnel closing at 9:15 p.m. for the fireworks display. There will be additional troopers patrolling the area to ensure the continuous flow of traffic and the safety of all motorists. Also, there will be additional troopers throughout the holiday weekend patrolling the interstates.
