Miss Rain Day plans project

WAYNESBURG – Kendall Lewis, Miss Rain Day 2012, is required to do a service project and she wanted to do something with meaning.

Kendall’s grandmother is currently suffering from Alzheimer’s so she decided to host a walk on the Greene River Trail to raise money for Alzheimer’s research Saturday.

The walk is three miles, starting and ending at the Greene Cove Yacht Club trailhead entrance to the Greene River Trail. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m.

Individuals interested in walking or unable to attend but would like to make a donation to help fight this disease can download the registration and donation forms at www.missraindaypageant.org or contact Lewis at 724-880-6981.

Forms and donations can be returned to Kendall Lewis or Rain Day Scholarship Inc. Please make checks payable to Alzheimer’s Association.
