Net MAGIC to offer free basketball kids camp

WAYNESBURG – Net MAGIC, a free basketball camp for kids ages 6 to 16, will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. July 15, 19, 22 and 26 at the Family Life Center of the First Assembly of God, Eastview, 4131 W. Roy Furman Highway, Waynesburg.

The camp is sponsored by the Family Stability Community Team of the MAGIC Collaborative Board and is supported by the Greene County commissioners.

The objective of the basketball camp is to increase self-esteem, parent/child interactions and the child’s basketball skill level. There will be various educational activities and agency information available at all camp sessions.

The project is a collaborative effort with support from community agencies including Greene County Human Services, Value Behavioral Health, The Stern Center, Community Action Southwest, SPHS Care Center STTARS Program and other community agencies.

The MAGIC collaborative is composed of a steering committee and community teams. The purpose of the collaborative is to create an integrated, coordinated community/family based service delivery system to meet the health, education and community needs of Greene County residents.
