Western Pa. woman returned to U.S. to face charges
PITTSBURGH (AP) – A Western Pennsylvania woman who fled the country after allegedly stealing more than $217,000 has been returned to the U.S. to face charges.
Authorities say 64-year-old Patricia Keller was taken in to custody about 6 a.m. Saturday at Dulles International Airport near Washington, D.C.
The U.S. Marshalls Service says in a Monday release that Keller was arrested in April 2010 and charged with stealing from Tri-County Occupational Medicine. She had no prior arrest record.
Keller failed to make a court appearance in February 2011 and authorities learned she had traveled to Canada, Moscow and the United Arab Emirates.
In April, Keller was arrested in Dubai, and authorities there placed her on a one-way flight to the U.S. Saturday.
