Charges pending in Canonsburg assault, harassment case
CANONSBURG – Charges are pending against a Canonsburg man over accusations he assaulted a woman at his residence Sunday.
Borough police said they plan to charge Jason Taylor, 33, of 411 Spruce St., with simple assault, harassment, theft and loitering in connection with the 11:30 p.m. disturbance.
Another man at the residence, Tyree Jackson, 23, of Washington, was misidentified in Tuesday’s police blotter as the suspect. Charges are not pending against Jackson.
Police said Taylor fled the residence on a bicycle after he allegedly grabbed Darlene Jones, 51, also of 411 Spruce St., by the wrist and kicked her.
Police later apprehended him nearby and placed him in Washington County Jail on a parole detainer, the jail docket shows.
