Pleaders sentenced in court

WAYNESBURG – Several criminal defendants pleaded guilty Wednesday before Greene County Judge Farley Toothman.

They were:

Michael Allen Hayes, 32, of 300 Moffitt Road, Dilliner; offenses – operating a methamphetamine lab and illegally dumping methamphetamine waste, manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of chemicals with the intent to manufacture a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia; state police executed a search warrant at his residence Feb. 12 and found chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine; sentence – 2 to 10 years in prison, $1,500 fine. If he completes the prison’s Recidivism Risk Reduction Incentive program his minimum sentence will be 18 months.

Gary Andrew Danforth, 32, of 316 N. Market St., Carmichaels; offenses – driving under the influence of alcohol and a summary traffic violation; arrested Jan. 9, Danforth had a blood-alcohol content level of 0.095 percent; sentence – time served (13 days) to 6 months in jail, $525 in fines, 125 hours of community service.

Amanda Marie Bedillion, 26, of 385 Patterson Creek Road, Sycamore; offenses – possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and delivery of a controlled substance; on Aug.11, 2011, Bedillion sold 0.47 of a gram of cocaine to a state police undercover trooper for $150; sentence – 3 to 23 ½ months in jail, credit for time served, $750 fine, $150 restitution to state police.

Norma Edna Trostle, 50, of 128 Bunner Hill Road, Mt. Morris; offenses – DUI and four summary traffic violations; Trostle had a BAC of 0.143 percent after her vehicle crashed into to a tree Oct. 23 on Gas Company Road in Perry Township; sentence – 48 hours to 6 months in jail, $585 in fines, 90 hours of community service.

Eva Marie Nolan, 33, of 53 School St., Clarksville; offenses – DUI alcohol and controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness; Nolan was found passed out at the wheel in the Sheetz parking lot in Cumberland Township on Dec. 16; she had a BAC of 0.184 percent and tested positive for marijuana use. A marijuana pipe was in her possession; sentence – 72 hours to 6 months in jail, $1,500 in fines, 100 hours of community service.

Douglas Edward Riley, 25, of 136 Lahew Road, Waynesburg; offenses – two counts each of theft and receiving stolen property; on Dec. 26, Riley stole two Christmas gifts left on the doorstep at 135 Woodside Manor in Cumberland Township; sentence – 1 year of probation, restitution.

Robin Emily Whitlatch, 35, of 290 Lexington Court, Carnegie, formerly of Valley View Projects, 20 Grandview Drive, Franklin Township; offense – conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver a controlled substance; charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver were withdrawn; on Feb. 29, 2012, state police served a search warrant at the 20 Grandview Drive and found 722 stamp bags of heroin; Whitlatch and two others were in the home; sentence – five years in the county intermediate punishment program, which includes 10 days in jail, credit for 10 days served, and 11 months and 20 days of house arrest.

In other cases before the court Friday, Jamie Allen Carter, 36, of 687 S. Eighty Eight Road, Carmichaels, who was found guilty by juries in April on two separate cases,was sentenced to 18 to 36 months in prison and fined $500.

Carter was convicted of theft and receiving stolen property for the theft of a gasoline can from a vehicle owned by Craig Watters Sept. 7, 2012 at a home on River Lane in Cumberland Township.

He was convicted of receiving stolen property in connection with the theft of an eight-foot trailer Oct. 25 from the Sky View Drive-In Theater in Carmichaels.
