Police beat July 13
Tailgate stolen: An Avella man reported to state police that the tailgate was stolen from his truck between July 1 and July 2 on the 1900 block of Avella Road. He told police a drill was also stolen from the bed of his truck. Police have no suspects.
Burglary arrest: Patrick C. Adams, 27, of 251 Annuity Drive, North Franklin, is charged by township police with burglary, theft and trespassing, accused of breaking into a house in the 100 block of Hamilton Street about 1 a.m. Friday and stealing a television and an iPad, court records show. Police said they followed footprints in wet grass from the victim’s residence to a neighbor’s house, where they questioned Adams and found the stolen items hidden there behind a garbage can. Adams is in the Washington County jail on $15,000 bond set by District Judge Valarie Costanzo.
DUI charges: Windy Lee Baker, 30, was charged by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol, endangering another person, endangering the welfare of a child and several summary traffic violations. Police said on July 2 Baker had a 0.19 percent blood-alcohol content and was driving with her 8-month-old son in the rear seat. Baker’s son was not properly secured and the seat was extremely loose, according to police.
Drug arrest: Jennifer E. Trout, 32, who is homeless, is charged by city police with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia over accusations she was found with a dose of Seroquel without a prescription and a crack pipe about 10:45 p.m. June 17 in the 100 block of Hall Avenue, court records show. She is in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set Thursday by District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Inmate returned: William Harps, 46, of 100 Cherry Ave., Washington, is charged by city police with escape, accused of failing to return to the Washington County jail May 3 while free on work release, court records show. His was remanded to the jail on $5,000 bond set Thursday by District Judge Robert Redlinger and is serving out the remander of his sentence in a South Strabane Township assault.
Drug arrest: Isaac A. King, 32, last know to reside at Maple Terrace, Washington, is charged by state police with drug possession and possession with intent to deliver over accusations he twice sold a confidential informant $150 worth of cocaine on separate dates in 2011 at the apartment complex, court records show. He is in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set Thursday by District Judge Robert Redlinger.
House vandalized: A man who is remodeling a house on Shady Avenue reported to city police that someone broke seven windows on the residence between Tuesday and Thursday. There was $1,600 in damage.
Man arrested: James Wiszczor, 52, no address, was charged by city police with public urinatation Thursday. Police say he was intoxicated and urinated in the 800 block of Meadow Avenue. There was a warrant for his arrest, and he was taken to the Washington County jail.
Cars, houses spray painted: City police responded to a call Wednesday that a car had been spray painted in the 800 block of Addison Street. Officers discovered more purple paint on two houses and four cars in the 200 block of Hayes Avenue and the 100 block of Baird Avenue.
