Handgun stolen: A .38-caliber Derringer handgun was stolen from a garage owned by Tammy Policz. No address was listed. The theft occurred bewteen July 5 and 8, state police said.

Theft reported: State police said Jacob Emerick, Ridge Road, reported that a Hobart welder, two tanks and Harris torches were stolen from his residence between 6 p.m. July 6 and noon July 7.

House burglarized: Rachel Costa of Hawthorne Street, New Eagle, told state police someone stole plates, an end table, a television and other household goods from a building she owns at 570 Green St. Police said the burglary occurred between June 21 and July 6.

Tools stolen: State police said tools were stolen from a utility truck owned by C.W. Wright Construction while it was parked on Watkins Run Road between July 3 and 8.

Property damaged: A planting box in front of the Hot Rods Restaurant on Morris Street was damaged about 8 p.m. Thursday, Waynesburg police said. Two men were observed jumping on the box.
